Outdoor Therapy
The COVID-19 pandemic has led many therapists to introduce an outdoor element to their practice. There are many benefits available when providing therapy outside the therapy room, but this approach is not suitable for all clients or all therapists. Sources of guidance to assist in identifying if you have sufficient knowledge, skills and experience to operate in this way include:

Joining the BUPA register
Recognition from BUPA requires being registered with an appropriate professional body such as UKCP and have at least three years’ post qualification experience in full time practice or five years’ experience if in part-time practice (minimum of two working days per week), adhere to supervision guidelines, and provide a reference from your supervisor.
- As a fully Accredited NLPtCA Member you can apply to join the Bupa Network and take on psychotherapy clients who wish for Bupa, as their medical insurer, to pay for their therapy. See more details on the Bupa website
